​​The Princeton Art Guild is excited to offer a new Artist-in-Residence Program designed to support local and regional artists with time, space, and community connection. Our upstairs studio provides a quiet, dedicated place for artists to create a cohesive body of work, experiment with a new process, or develop a fresh skill set.

 

What Artists Receive

​

• A private studio for 3–6 months

• 24/7 access

• WiFi, utilities, climate-controlled workspace

• Promotion through the Guild’s website and social media

• Support for planning a public event

• Optional end-of-residency showcase

 

What Residents Give Back

 

To help keep art accessible for everyone, each resident contributes open studio per month and one public program per three months of residency.
 

This may include:

• A workshop

• Artist talk

• Demonstration

• Community art night

• Youth activity

• Skill share

• Collaborative project

 

We welcome creativity in how artists engage the public.

 

Who Can Apply

 

Our residency is open to artists working in any medium, emerging, mid-career, or established. You do not need to be a full-time artist, and you do not need to hold a degree. Applicants must be 18 or older. Artists from Caldwell County and surrounding regions receive priority.

 

Selection Criteria

 

We look for:

• Artistic merit and clarity of goals

• A thoughtful, realistic project plan

• A public program idea that aligns with our mission

• Willingness to be part of our creative community
