WHY THE SEGNO?

In music notation, the segno is a sign that tells musicians where to return. It’s a marker of continuity, guiding players back to a central point so the piece can move forward with strength and purpose.

For us, the segno is more than a symbol, it’s a promise. Just as musicians return to the segno to find their place, we want the Princeton Art Guild to be the place musicians, students, and audiences return to in our community. A home base for learning, performing, and experiencing music together.

The Cecile M. Settle Foundation carries this vision forward: to keep music alive, rooted, and always returning to the people it belongs to.
