ARTIST OF THE MONTH NOMINATION
Great art is already happening all around us.
The Princeton Art Guild’s Artist of the Month program is a way to shine a light on local and regional creatives who are making meaningful work, whether that work hangs in a gallery, lives in a sketchbook, shows up in a classroom, or exists quietly behind the scenes.

Each month, we select one artist to feature through:
-
A short blog spotlight on our website
-
A series of social media posts on Facebook
-
A small moment of recognition within the broader community
This program isn’t about awards or hierarchy. It’s about visibility, encouragement, and connection. We are helping artists be seen and helping our community better understand the creative voices already shaping our region.

Who Can Be Nominated?

We welcome nominations for:
-
Visual artists, designers, illustrators, makers, musicians, performers, and anything where people are expressing themselves.
-
Emerging, self-taught, established artists, and people who don't call themselves artists.
-
Artists working in traditional, contemporary, or experimental ways
-
Creatives based in Princeton, Caldwell County, or the surrounding region
You may nominate another artist or nominate yourself. Self-nominations are encouraged! Advocating for your own work is part of being an artist and all successful creatives do it.

What We’re Looking For

We’re less interested in résumés and more interested in:
-
The story behind the work
-
A sense of curiosity, care, or craft
-
How creativity shows up in your life and connects to the community you live and exist in
Selections rotate monthly and are shaped by variety, availability, and alignment with the Guild’s mission to make art accessible and relevant.
